Heart Centered – Mind Centric
What makes me different from others who provide similar coaching services for childhood trauma and PTSD survivors?
I am a survivor of early childhood abuse who suffered for decades with the negative mental and physical manifestations from my trauma and almost died twice because of it. I have a lifelong love and curiosity for the human condition and have spent decades researching the neuroscience of behavior and the debilitating and systemic effects of childhood abuse and trauma. I need facts and hard evidence, but I am also an artist, writer and occasional philosopher and poet because life is more than just science and statistics. I’ve been a strength and conditioning coach, and I have a passion for servant leadership, giving back and making a positive impact on people’s lives. I’ve healed my trauma from childhood and amassed a lifetime of lessons doing so. I have an obligation to give hope and shorten the path of healing to help those suffering……I have a mission to be the resource I never had.
How does my wellness model and approach uniquely combine trauma-informed coaching with neurobiological optimization to support clients in their recovery journey?
Through 25 years of evidence-based research examining trauma from a 360-degree view, I created the “Conscious Body / Integrated-Self” wellness model to Trauma Informed Recovery rooted in neuroscience and integrated health. This unique approach to mental wellbeing combines trauma informed coaching with optimizing the functional mechanics of the nervous system at the neurobiological and systemic physical level.
As a certified trauma recovery practitioner, my coaching process creates a safe space that encourages co-regulation and empowers clients to safely rediscover their authenticity and live a more fulfilling life. To increase the potential for sustained positive outcomes, I provide a self-regulation toolkit for managing emotional states and psychoeducation to empower clients with knowledge to unmask the mystery behind their responses and patterns.
What do I do as a trauma recovery coach for adults who have survived child adversity?
Advocate and Advise: Knowledge is power, and we’ll share that power with each other. I’ll get to know what you feel is important and I’ll provide psychoeducation so you can understand how and why your experience with trauma is normal and very human. We’ll explore the role that trauma plays in the various mind / body systems and how it may prevent the attainment of a full and joyful life.
Support: Change is no joke. It’s natural and easy to resist it even if it’s meant to serve you and those with a lifetime of trauma baggage sometimes have difficulty finishing what they start. Plus, the healing path can be difficult and take time and at least as much of the energy that trauma has robbed from you, but you are not alone. The HopeBridge Collective community is a tight knit system of support and accountability that will help you stay on course during your healing journey, stay true to the plan we’ll create together to attain your goals and emerge on the other side of the bridge as the champion you truly are.
Guidance: My wish is that you never had to deal with long term, debilitating trauma, but sadly I can’t change the past for either of us. Since I’ve walked in your shoes myself, I can help you slowly and safely release your trauma symptoms and create a bountiful new perspective from one of limiting beliefs and scarcity so you can live a life you can love.
Tools: Your reality rests between your ears, your perspective and mindset is everything. Through neuroplasticity the human brain has the capacity to rewire itself despite circuits programmed through abuse and years of trauma programming. Let me give you the tools and techniques to discover the REAL YOU and create the life you deserve filled with self-love, compassion, courage, health, vitality and happiness.
